After 4,380 hours of use (approximately 6 months), the red filter light illuminates to remind you that it's time to check and/or replace the filter. To ensure that your air purifier is optimally delivering clean air, it is recommended that you replace the filter every 6-12 months and that you do not exceed 12 months of use without replacement.
